Love it or hate it, the iPad is going to to sell a ton of hardware. What remains unclear is if Apple can truly convince consumers they need a 3rd category of device. The trend up until now has been to eliminate gadgets from our arsenal, so it will be interesting to see if they can market this product well enough to get us to add one back in.

I personally can’t justify one just yet because I still do all my reading on a fairly new Sony PRS-505 e-reader, but I can see this being a worthy replacement in the future.
